Spring has sprung and so have the donations to the Waverly Food Pantry through the SOON box! Thank you for all of your generous donations last month. During May we will be collecting spaghetti, elbow macaroni, pasta, meat sauce, ravioli, peanut butter, boxed potatoes, pancake mix, syrup, oatmeal, dish soap, bar soap, and/or any other non-perishable item you would like to donate. Get Involved with Missions!
Posted on 01/29/2013
Mission & Outreach Committee is revved up for a busy and meaningful year. We hope you'll consider getting involved, too!
Here are just some of the projects we spearhead or support:
New missions to be explored and expanded include: Care & Repair, Saints Café (meals prepared and served to those in need by area churches on Monday nights at St. Paul’s Lutheran), and Global Health Ministries. Then there are the things we can all do each day, such as performing random acts of kindness, mentoring, or volunteering at local or area facilities like our school or Salvation Army.
Do you see a mission that warms your heart and stirs up some passion? Join our committee or let us know where you’d like to get involved. There’s a place for you!
