Pastor Marcia Kifer

Pastor Kifer was ordained June 4, 1983. She served two parishes in Metro Chicago before coming to Redeemer on April 1, 1992. She and her husband Jack have two sons, Jason and Benjamin.

Pastor Kifer serves on the Northeastern Iowa Synod Colleague Task Force and First Call Theological Education Committee, chairs the Pathways Behavioral Services Advisory Committee, and is chair of the Waverly Ministerium.

Her hobbies include crocheting, baking and playing the piano.

Pastor James Carpenter

Pastor Jim was ordained June 21, 1970, and has served parishes in
Woonsocket, South Dakota, Sioux City, Bode, and Belmond, Iowa, before coming to Redeemer on November 1, 1999.  He and his wife, Kathy, have two children. A son, John, is married, has two children, and lives in Mason City.  A daughter, Elizabeth, lives in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Pastor Jim serves on the Steering Committee for the Waverly Habitat for Humanity, the Arts, Recreation and Tourism Committee of the Waverly Area Development Group, and serves as chaplain of the Wartburg Conference of the
Northeastern Iowa Synod.

His hobbies include reading, bread baking, bicycling, jogging, crossword
puzzles, and gardening.
