Pastor Robin Ramos
Pastor Robin was ordained
on November 4, 2006. Before coming to Redeemer in November 2006, she
served as part-time pastoral resident in the congregations of St.
Matthew and Trinity in Columbus, Ohio. She and her husband are parents
of two children. Josh, their son, is currently attending the
Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh. Emily, their daughter,
is a high school student.
Pastor Robin is currently
getting settled into the community. She is looking forward to where the
Holy Spirit is leading her to serve in the communities of Waverly and
Shell Rock and in the Northeastern Iowa Synod.
Pastor Robin is especially
interested in the way a congregation functions as a system and how that
system can be improved for all the saints in order to build up the body
of Christ, to celebrate our joy in the Lord, to embody love, justice and
mercy in the world, and to nurture the faith of the whole assembly.
One of her favorite
scripture quotes:
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely,
and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking
to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith….”
(Hebrews 12:1-2a)
Her hobbies include her
love of plants and cats, various forms of needlework and art, movies,
yoga and reading.
